  • On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Freedom Village at Brandywine collected 140 toys and $350 in gift cards for (Project Snowflake) to support local families with children from 3 to 12 and delivered the donations to Reeceville Elementary just across the street.  VISTA Today

CULTURE NEWS

  • Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter joins the Met Gala host committee for 2026—set for spring—with 15 other celebrities after Vogue announced the news on Dec. 12; Carpenter, a six-time Grammy nominee who recently ended her tour, returns to the event with prior appearances.  VISTA Today

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A new survey by Real Clear Politics and Emerson College shows that 38% of Pennsylvanians support data centers statewide while 35% oppose them; local support is lower at 34% and 43% oppose *with water and electricity concerns influencing opinions*. In southeastern Pennsylvania, 45% oppose data centers in their area.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chester County will add 16 propane buses to its fleet by February and is set to build a fueling station in Coatesville to lower costs as part of its climate action plan. Officials expect fuel savings to cover the upfront cost within 18 months & boost sustainability.  The Philadelphia Inquirer

HEALTH NEWS

  • Physicians at a prominent system completed the first commercial procedures using Lungpacer's FDA-approved AeroPace System, a breakthrough, minimally-invasive treatment that helps patients on ventilators regain independent breathing. Lungpacer said the treatment showed steady progress and plans to expand availability following new reimbursement on Oct. 1.  MyChesCo
  • Pennsylvania health officials allocated $1 million to strengthen TB prevention by expanding services at 59 state health centers + 11 county programs, while state leaders earlier this week urged residents to get flu shots, including a self-administered nasal spray option, as seasonal cases rise.  MyChesCo
