  • West Chester University alumnus Todd Marcocci has produced major parades nationwide with his company Under the Sun Productions, including Philadelphia’s Thanksgiving Day and Independence Day parades. His team will co-produce events next July for the nation’s semiquincentennial while he continues to work locally with the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band—linking national success with hometown pride.  VISTA Today
  • Residents in Chester County can pre-order fresh Thanksgiving turkeys and sides from local farms and grocers with orders accepted until Nov.20 and pickup scheduled for Nov.25 and Nov.26 while Linvilla Orchards will let customers reserve whole and breast turkeys along with classic sides until Thanksgiving—providing local options for the holiday feast.  VISTA Today

CULTURE NEWS

  • St. John’s Episcopal Church in West Caln has a nearly 300-year-old graveyard with over 3,500 tombstones and veterans from past wars are buried there—sixty stones were fixed in recent renovations. A group will work for 3 to 5 years to conserve the graveyard as the church prepares for its 300th anniversary in 2029.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents in East Vincent Township voiced concerns about the proposed Pennhurst data center at a meeting on November 16—township supervisors detailed an ordinance with height and pollution restrictions, and a formal vote will be held on Dec 17.  VISTA Today

HEALTH NEWS

  • Chester County Health Department inspected Arianna's Gourmet Café on November 14 and found several issues with food handling and sanitation—staff must label food correctly, repair equipment, and improve cleaning. Inspectors also reported that a local supermarket had damaged walk-in doors and heavy ice buildup, with both sites required to fix these problems to meet safety codes.  MyChesCo
