  • Chester County was ranked among the best U.S. counties for raising children by a Washington Post analysis that scored safety, education quality and policy support—though affordability scored lower. The county earned an 87 in safety and 75 in both education quality and policy support, while affordability received a 49.  VISTA Today
  • West Chester’s Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center was honored with a $51,172 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant on November 11 in recognition of decades of service to local residents. Founded in 1934 and renamed in 2004 for local activist Charles A. Melton, the center will use the funds to continue offering free art, civics, and recreational programs — supporting its long-standing community role.  VISTA Today
  • Friends Association will host its annual Charity Ball, 'A Holiday in the Tropics,' on December 6 at West Chester Golf & Country Club, where guests will enjoy live music by Philadelphia Funk Authority plus a silent auction to help end family homelessness.
