- ➤ CAP Index has launched its new Crimes Against Society index scores — a tool that tracks social behaviors like drug violations, trespassing, disorderly conduct and loitering — to help businesses measure local instability. - ➤ West Chester-based QVC Group reported an $80 million loss in the third quarter — its share price dropped nearly 40 percent as falling television viewership and growing debt increased financial risks, with CFO Bill Wafford warning that if the cash leverage ratio exceeds 4.5 to 1 its loans may mature before the current Oct. 27 deadline. - ➤ Chester County orchestras will kick off a concert season with the West Chester University orchestra performing on November 15 and the Main Line Symphony Orchestra marking its eightieth season at Valley Forge Middle School on November 21. The Brandywine Valley Symphony will perform at the Mendenhall Inn on November 23 and at the Chester County History Center on December 6 — audiences will enjoy a mix of classical works and local premieres.
