  • Chester County residents can help break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Chain Push-Up on Nov 15 at 2 p.m. at Bishop Shanahan High School—organizer Devin Gage of Gage Strength Training needs 150 participants to beat the current record of 136.   • Four large Revolutionary War-era cannons were unearthed at the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve in Glenmoore by the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust; the cannons, cast at Warwick Furnace during the 1777 British advance on Philadelphia, are over seven feet long and weigh more than 4,500 pounds.  VISTA Today

  • West Chester University honored veterans, active-duty members, and first responders at its Military and First Responder Appreciation Game on Nov 1 at Farrell Stadium — the pregame ceremony featured a coin toss by a USMC sergeant and honorary captains among students who served in the military or as first responders.
