Chester County volunteer firefighter Emily Gindele returned to duty at the West Whiteland Fire Company two years after a car crash in October 2023 killed her fiancé — she has earned new certifications and her crew honored his memory with a memorial outside the station.

PennDOT said construction will continue on Business US 322 — High Street in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township from today through November 7 with lane closures from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. due to lighting conduit installation, and the $2.6 million project managed by Marino Corporation includes upgraded traffic signals, LED lighting, and pavement restoration that is expected to finish in winter 2026.

PennDOT announced that overnight lane closures on eastbound U.S. 30 between Business U.S. 30 and the Bailey Road overpass were in effect last night—these closures will continue until November 4 from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM as part of a $9.3 million project to improve safety and extend the highway's life.
