  • PBS will premiere Ken Burns’ six-part docuseries The American Revolution on November 16th — the series shows how our local streets and historic sites in Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley helped spark the fight for freedom. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Pa. Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced that over 107,000 letters about unclaimed property are scheduled to be mailed to Pennsylvanians through the Money Match program — checks for rightful owners are set to follow in mid-December.  WFMZ-TV
  • The federal government shutdown halted SNAP payments on November 1, and three county commissioners—Josh Maxwell, Marian Moskowitz and Eric Roe—said nearly 30,000 people face hunger as food pantries see more demand. They urged those in need to visit local pantries and asked residents and businesses to donate food or money until benefits resume.  MyChesCo
  • PennDOT announced that starting Monday, November 3, resurfacing and pavement repairs will occur across Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties—affecting over 200 miles of highways with lane closures and flagging that will continue into early next week. Drivers are advised to plan ahead as these projects are aimed at improving road safety and durability.  MyChesCo
