GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ PennDOT announced that construction will continue on Business U.S. 322—High Street corridor in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township from today through Friday, October 31, with lane closures and flagging from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily to install lighting conduit and update signals; drivers are advised to allow extra travel time. Marino Corporation—the general contractor—is handling the $2.6 million federally funded project that is set to finish in winter 2026 and is weather dependent. MyChesCo

- ➤ Chester County reported 69 accidental overdose deaths linked to drugs and alcohol in 2024; officials say increased treatment programs + community efforts brought the total to the lowest since 2015 and project an even lower number this year. VISTA Today
