Organized by Fiorenza’s Food For Friends (a nonprofit working to prevent hunger), the cook-off featured local vendors and donated leftover food to Safe Harbor emergency shelter. VISTA Today

- ➤ On Sept. 11, five Indigenous Lenape elders from the Delaware Tribe of Indians visited West Chester University in a program hosted by the Chester County History Center as part of America250—traveling from Oklahoma, they shared their traditions and hopes that local youth will continue to learn about Lenape culture. - ➤ The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission voted 5-0 on Thursday to investigate PPL Electric’s request for a $356 million rate increase—one that would raise a typical residential bill by about $13 and pause the new rates until at least seven months after the planned December 1 start date. Public hearings will be scheduled soon to gather customer testimony before PPL aims for new rates on July 1. WFMZ-TV
