  • Mid Penn Bank will acquire New Jersey's 1st Colonial Bancorp in a cash and stock deal valued at $101 million—both boards approved the merger and the deal is set to close in early 2026 pending regulatory and shareholder approvals. This merger will expand Mid Penn's presence in the greater Philadelphia area.  WFMZ-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Immaculata University will host two nursing information sessions on Oct. 4 at Loyola Hall: the undergraduate session at 9:00 a.m. for high school and transfer students and the accelerated BSN session at 11:00 a.m. for college graduates—faculty will explain clinical requirements and admissions details. A second accelerated nursing session will be held virtually from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 19—students can learn more about the program and the online event.  VISTA Today

HEALTH NEWS

  • MooreWays to Mental Health has opened its Eagleview clinic in Exton to offer Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment—using magnetic pulses to help the brain heal without medication side effects—to patients in Chester County. The center is the first in the region to combine this non-invasive therapy with counseling and nutritional support for a whole-person approach.  VISTA Today
  • Therapy dogs from Crisis Response Canines visited Paoli Hospital's emergency department to help frontline staff relax before today—offering deep pressure therapy during long shifts. The visits, sponsored by a donor and organized by ER charge nurse Laura Marshalek after a 2024 child abuse case, provided comfort to hospital workers.  VISTA Today
