- ➤ Safe Harbor of Chester County in West Chester announced that Chris Street from Collegeville has joined as its new Director of Development — he brings strong nonprofit fundraising experience from his work at the Boys + Girls Club. - ➤ Chester County Commissioners proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month to support survivors and honor victims, and the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County— which served 1,853 people last year and reached over 5,500 with free counseling and legal support—will host countywide events including Light the Night for Hope and Healing on Oct. 7. - ➤ At West Chester University's first home football game on Sept. 20, the school named its field Tomlinson-Fillippo Field to honor alumnus Robert 'Tommy' Tomlinson ’70 and alumnus Tom Fillippo ’69.
