ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Brandywine River Restoration Trust is carefully removing Dam Six from the Brandywine River to restore fish passage and the natural flow of water. Jim Shanahan said the dam is eight feet tall, built in 1839, and spans 40 feet of the riverbed, and it will be removed by the end of September — a step to reduce risks of sediment affecting the city’s water supply.
