GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Philadelphia lawyer George Bochetto has been hired by a group of SEPTA riders to file a lawsuit challenging service cuts that began on Sunday, arguing the reductions hurt low-income and minority communities. Consumer advocate Lance Haver will join the action as SEPTA reviews Bochetto's letter—he claims the cuts are arbitrary and unnecessary given the transit agency's reserve funds and projected deficits.
