Authorities charged Kennett Square man Javier Rivera (33) with first-degree murder and theft after he allegedly fatally stabbed a 69-year-old during an attempted BMW theft in Kennett Township on August 10 and later fled on foot stealing additional vehicles including a Honda Accord and a Honda CRV before being arrested on August 11 with evidence linking him to the crimes.
