  • Today, locals are raising funds to transform the shuttered Anthony Wayne Theater into an elevated dining & entertainment destination that will host meals, live shows and community events.   • Kimberly Brake’s home on Community Lane in Coatesville shows at least 19 bullet holes from two shootings—one on June 21 and another on July 15—when a neighbor’s gun battle spilled into her yard and police later recovered four guns from his home.  6abc Philadelphia

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Pennsylvania state universities will raise in-state tuition to $7,994 for the 2025-26 academic year, a $278 or 3.6% increase, as officials wait to see if a full state funding boost will cancel or rebate the increase. Today West Chester University approved a $92.1 million plan to add floors to its South Campus Apartments and upgrade key systems over five years to meet growing housing demand.  The Philadelphia Inquirer

HEALTH NEWS

  • ChristianaCare and Virtua Health announced they are exploring a merger that may form a new regional health system — serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland — that would combine over $6 billion in revenue with nine hospitals and three micro-hospitals; the deal would offer more than 600 care sites across 10 counties.  The Philadelphia Inquirer
