CRIME NEWS

  • Chester County police are investigating a shooting on Community Lane in Coatesville where more than 30 rounds struck six occupied homes and four unoccupied cars on Tuesday night & officers executing a search warrant recovered four guns, including a ghost gun, with no injuries reported.  FOX 29

CULTURE NEWS

  • Researchers William and Frank Watson of Duffy’s Cut found a second mass grave of Irish railroad workers in May on land owned by Northwood Cemetery in Downingtown — 11 miles from the original site. They uncovered human remains and a skull with a bullet that suggest the workers were killed in an anti-immigrant panic in 1832.  VISTA Today

  • State Rep. Melissa Shusterman announced her juvenile justice package cleared the Pennsylvania House, including a bill to update detention rules and create a data inventory—two other bills in the package address county cost-sharing and the humane treatment of children in custody.
