- ➤ Safe Harbor of Chester County is asking for food and monetary donations this summer to help feed local neighbors as donations drop off during the warmer months. Donors must sign up online and drop off items during set hours—supporting a program that serves over 43,000 meals each year. VISTA Today

CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Arts Holding Hands and Hearts, Inc. will host the Restorative Justice Open House at Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center on July 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.—the event will show the premiere of the short documentary 'Invisible No More' and feature film screenings, art exhibitions, live music, community conversations and remarks by local leaders. The open house is free and is set to empower youth through restorative practices and creative storytelling. MyChesCo
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pennsylvania’s 911 system was restored after intermittent outages that lasted about 10 hours (ending around midnight) on Friday, and officials urged residents to call only for true emergencies. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency said its investigation into the outage will continue and further updates will be provided. The Philadelphia Inquirer
- ➤ Crews on a PennDOT safety project along Business U.S. 322 in West Chester will begin lane closures on Monday July 14 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and continue from Wednesday July 16 to Friday July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.—motorists should plan for delays as intersections and pavement are upgraded for safer traffic and smoother flow with work scheduled to continue into winter 2026. - ➤ PennDOT has begun major milling and paving work on Route 3 today at 5:00 p.m. in West Goshen Township to enhance road safety and reduce congestion. The project will involve lane closures Monday July 14 through Friday July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. between Paoli Pike and Strasburg Road—drivers should allow extra travel time.
