GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Supervisors approved a plan to temporarily lease the former Hiles home at Penn Green Easement to an eight-member family from June through August in partnership with KACS — the home is certified for no more than ten occupants. After the temporary lease, the township will seek a 12-month lease with a long-term tenant while completing upgrades including handrails, new appliances and safety inspections — with estimated costs between $7,500 and $9,000.  Chester County Press

HEALTH NEWS

  • Malvern-based Fujirebio Diagnostics received FDA clearance on May 22 for a first-of-its-kind blood test that detects Alzheimer’s disease proteins in patients aged 55 and older showing early signs. The test is 92% as accurate as brain scans and will help doctors diagnose the condition sooner — offering patients a chance at earlier treatment and potential clinical trial enrollment.  VISTA Today
