  • Safe Harbor of Chester County has launched the Community Champions Campaign—an effort that invites donors to pledge regular support for shelter, meals, and case management for homeless individuals. CULTURE NEWS

  • Chester County Library will host its annual Read Local! showcase on May 18 from 1—4:00 PM at 450 Exton Square Parkway. Over 30 local authors and illustrators will display and sell their works at the free, family-friendly event—visitors can meet the creators face to face.  VISTA Today
  • Well-known Pianist and Performer Hershey Felder will host a singalong of classic American songs at People’s Light on May 18 at 7:00 p.m. on the Leonard C. Haas Stage in Malvern. Tickets cost $79—buy them online.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT will begin nighttime milling and paving on Route 3 in West Goshen Township from Tuesday, May 13 to Thursday, May 22 — lane closures between Paoli Pike and Strasburg Road may slow traffic and drivers should plan extra time during these hours.  MyChesCo

HEALTH NEWS

  • Penn Medicine has hired 45 displaced trainees from Crozer Health and will now provide inpatient training at Chester County Hospital for family medicine residents while they continue serving patients in Springfield and Upper Darby. The transition prevents care gaps in Delaware County and supports the health system's effort to build a stronger primary care workforce.  The Philadelphia Inquirer
