  • West Chester University’s Opera Theatre presents Mozart’s Così fan tutte with a modern twist as a reality TV show style opera. The performance will run Saturday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, at 3:00 p.m. at the Emilie K. EDUCATION NEWS

  • West Chester University launched a donation program for recycling usable items as students move out before final classes on Monday, May 4. Donation bins at key campus spots will be open until May 11 in partnership with Goodwill Keystone Area.  MyChesCo
  • Unionville High School student Collin Hu launched Plonk It, which uses Google Street View to bring local history to life through online tools and in-person workshops at a local museum. The program engaged over 38,000 users (GeoGuessr award winner in 2024) and plans to expand to college campuses.  VISTA Today
  • CCRES in Downingtown is hiring professional staff to support children and adults with behavioral health needs across Chester County. Available roles include Personal Care Assistants, Behavior Consultants, and Behavior Analysts with flexible schedules, competitive wages (including sign-on bonuses) in school and community settings.  VISTA Today

  • A free community health fair will be hosted by Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital and Saint Agnes Parish Saturday, May 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Patrick Hall Gym in West Chester — families can access health screenings and wellness resources.  MyChesCo
