  • Concert Golf Partners bought Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester in December and plans to invest seven figures in upgrades such as an indoor golf simulator and improved dining options. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today PennDOT announced ITS improvements along U.S.422 that will cause periodic lane closures in Montgomery and Chester counties as part of an 83.6 million dollar project to rebuild a 2.1-mile section of road. The work will affect eastbound and westbound lanes at set times, and motorists should allow extra travel time—drivers are urged to follow posted safety instructions.  MyChesCo
  • PennDOT crews will repair damaged pavement on several key roads in Chester County next week due to weather that freezes and thaws. Motorists should expect travel slowdowns near work zones — and report any pothole concerns to PennDOT's Customer Care Center.  MyChesCo

HEALTH NEWS

  • Phoenixville Hospital and Pottstown Hospital held flag-raising ceremonies for Organ Donation Awareness Month to urge residents to register as donors; moving testimonials from donor families and transplant recipients underscored the need. The events, organized with the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania and the Gift of Life Donor Program, highlighted that one donor can save up to eight lives — a reminder as more than 95,000 people nationwide await transplants.  MyChesCo
