- ➤ Dr. Shannon Brown was named the first principal for the new Engle Education Center—converted from the old Fred S. - ➤ At its April 21 meeting, New Garden Township supervisors reconsidered plans to expand zoning rules for a sports facility near White Clay Point as consultants from The Sports Facilities Companies presented two indoor facility models (one designed for regional tournaments with seating for over 1,000 and projected costs up to $58.7M, and another aimed at local youth sports with costs up to $45.2M) to boost economic development while addressing road safety concerns on the local two-lane Route 41 (the projects are estimated to take 2 to 3 years to complete).
