  • Chester County kicks off its 32nd season of Town Tours & Village Walks on Thursday, April 30 at the Chester County Historic Courthouse in West Chester. The free series features 13 guided tours and three armchair lectures celebrating America’s 250th anniversary throughout spring, summer and fall.  MyChesCo
  • Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square bursts with spring color through a 600-foot tulip display and other blooms, offering interactive events including a plant talk on April 19 and music on April 23 — timed admission tickets are required.  MyChesCo

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT is advancing a $9.3 million paving project that will close lanes overnight on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Bailey Road Overpass and Business U.S. 30 from Sunday, April 19 to Thursday, April 23 — the work includes milling, repairs, and refreshed markings, so motorists should plan extra time.  MyChesCo
  • Chester County has launched a Peer Ambassador Program to connect veterans with benefits such as housing and mental health support through peer-to-peer outreach across the county.   • Ticks are appearing earlier in Pennsylvania as experts report 55% more ticks in tests, saying a mild winter helped them survive. Residents are urged to check themselves and their pets for ticks behind ears, on knees, and at elbows.  FOX 29
