- ➤ Erin Lacotta from West Chester was named one of the 2025 VISTA NextGen Superstars for her work leading behavior support at the YMCA to help people with disabilities. She and her fellow honorees will be recognized on May 8 at the Penn State Great Valley Conference Center. VISTA Today
- ➤ The Arc of Chester County and Penn State Great Valley have teamed up to offer a free speaker series for National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month—Jeanne Meikrantz spoke on March 18 and Jim Conroy will talk on April 1 about disability rights. From March 31 to April 25, Penn State Great Valley will hold a step challenge to get community members walking in support of The Arc. VISTA Today
- ➤ West Chester will host two adult Easter egg hunts on April 4 as part of spring celebrations. Angel's Retreat at Northbrook Marketplace will hold a hunt with flashlights, a silent auction and dinner (tickets $48 in advance, $60 at the door) while Downtown West Chester's free hunt will feature an egg search in local shops. - ➤ Local police and PennDOT increased patrols for aggressive driving along Route 1 in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties yesterday — the effort aimed to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths. 6abc Philadelphia
- ➤ Agustin Cisneros-Bedolla, 42 (of West Grove), waived his preliminary hearing last Friday in Chester County on charges including attempted homicide, aggravated arson, and possession of weapons of mass destruction for allegedly setting fire to Squire’s Pantry (on Gap Newport Pike) where he also attempted to carjack a vehicle.
