CULTURE NEWS

  • Longwood Gardens now offers redesigned event spaces for weddings, parties & group events after a years-long renovation. The refreshed venues host intimate to grand gatherings using in-house caterers with approved outside vendors.  VISTA Today
  • Chester County's St. Peter's Village was named one of the top ten U.S. small towns that feel like stepping back in time by Best Life Online. The quarter-mile town, founded in the mid-1800s for mining workers, features vintage shops and eateries (including Village Arcade and Village Scoop Ice Cream Shop) that keep its nostalgic charm alive.  VISTA Today

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Immaculata University held group shadow days for prospective students to attend classes, meet faculty, and explore campus life. The initiative started in fall 2023 and expanded to 25 sessions by fall 2025, welcoming high school juniors, seniors, transfer students, and undecided applicants.  VISTA Today
  • Nearly $1 million in state grants is expanding a fast-track program that helps special education teacher candidates gain certification while working (11 colleges run the accelerated program). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local officials in Chester County are reviewing data center proposals set for upcoming meetings as residents voice concerns about potential risks to power, water, and the local environment.   • Gov. Shapiro hosted a roundtable at the West Chester Community Center today to discuss AI and education with AG Dave Sunday, Rep. Chris Pielli, and local parents and students (addressing concerns over harmful digital content). SPORTS NEWS
