- ➤ Gov. Josh Shapiro said he helped unfreeze $2.1 billion in federal funds during his White House visit on Feb. 21 and announced on Feb. 24 that the funds were restored—while a White House spokesperson disputed his role, stating the funds were reviewed as part of a government-wide process. - ➤ All-Star Sports Academy in West Chester is seeking acquisitions to expand its training centers outside the Philadelphia region. - ➤ Westtown School's Jordyn Palmer was named Gatorade Girl’s Basketball Player of the Year for a second time after leading her team to a state championship win and a fifth straight league victory. The sophomore averaged 21.6 points and 10.5 rebounds this season and will compete in the Chipotle Nationals semifinals on April 4—her strong performance also included scoring 26 points in a recent game.
