  • West Grove resident Stacey McMann has spent a decade assembling blessing bags with food, clothing, and hygiene products for unhoused Philadelphia residents.   • The National Constitution Center will present the Liberty Medal to Pope Leo XIV on Friday, July 3 outside Independence Hall where he will deliver live acceptance remarks virtually from the Vatican. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The former Bishop Tube site in Frazer receives $11.5M for cleanup after Pennsylvania and the polluting companies reached a settlement to address long-term contamination. DEP will oversee work under Act 2 standards on the 13.7-acre property along Malin Road.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State officials approved $10.8 million in security grants to nearly 200 nonprofits & faith-based groups for planning, training, and equipment upgrades to improve safety against hate-motivated attacks. The Nonprofit Security Grant Program will support vulnerable community venues across Pennsylvania, officials confirmed today.  MyChesCo
  • The Attorney General visited BCIU for the Teen Talks series on mental health & social media, where more than 40 students from Berks County joined the discussion. The event provided guidance on managing social media challenges and mental well-being.  WFMZ-TV

  • Abrams Realty & Development bought Exton Square Mall for $34.25 million on a 75-acre site earlier this year and is planning a mixed-use redevelopment featuring a Whole Foods store as the gateway to new residential units.
