  • After 25 years leading the Chester County Community Foundation, Karen Simmons will retire this summer as the board works with Kittleman & Associates to find her successor; her leadership grew funds from 130 at $8 million to more than 335 at $141 million.  VISTA Today

BUSINESS NEWS

  • PanDoughMonium Bakery in Downingtown opened in August 2025 and drew large weekend crowds as owner Robert Weinrich + his fiancée handled all operations while planning to expand the front of house and menu options. The bakery is set to extend its hours soon to serve the community better.  VISTA Today
  • Turks Head Wines in West Chester won multiple awards at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition as 12 wines received recognition, including three Double Gold, two Gold, six Silver, and one Bronze medal. The win confirms the winery's commitment to quality by sourcing grapes from top California vineyards.  VISTA Today

CULTURE NEWS

  • Longwood Gardens introduces a new ticket upgrade that lets visitors experience the gardens by day and by night (for an additional $6 per ticket). The flexible option is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March 27 through Oct. 25.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced that Pennsylvania delivered $314M in tax and rent rebates to nearly 511,000 eligible residents in 2025, and applications for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program are now open through June 30; approved payments will begin July 1.  MyChesCo

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A ramp on the Pennsylvania Turnpike opened in December 2012 and has driven billions in commercial and residential growth in Malvern. The interchange, Exit 320 connecting to Route 29, spurred new corporate offices and job opportunities, a trend that remains evident as the area adjusts to shifts in real estate demand.  VISTA Today
