  • Three local restaurants (from West Chester and Kennett Square) have been named among the region's most vital dining spots by The Philadelphia Inquirer; Andiario offers a weekly-changing menu using Pennsylvania produce, Ground Provisions features plant-based fare, and Talula’s Table serves a multi-course tasting menu.  VISTA Today
  • Giant will close five fulfillment centers in eastern Pennsylvania, including one in Chester County, by the end of the first quarter as it shifts to in-store fulfillment operations. The grocer has not yet announced employee impact (details pending).  VISTA Today

CULTURE NEWS

  • Longwood Gardens is hosting its annual Winter Wonder exhibition through March 22 — featuring vibrant blooms and glowing installations. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission held its quarterly meeting Friday—focusing on ice fishing safety and future trout stocking plans. Mentored Youth Trout Fishing Day is scheduled for March 28, while Opening Day of Trout Season is set for April 4.  MyChesCo

HEALTH NEWS

  • LCH Health and Community Services passed a federal review with zero findings + earned Health Outcomes Accreditation, placing it among top-performing centers and confirming its commitment to quality care. Founded in 1973, the organization provides accessible services to the community.  MyChesCo
  • County health inspectors conducted restaurant inspections on Friday and flagged sanitation issues at several establishments, including Giordano’s Pizza in Kennett Square and Southbound BBQ Co. Commissary at the West Chester Elks Club (plumbing leaks, improper food storage) that require action.  MyChesCo

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Chester County housing reports show renting a three-bedroom home is more affordable than buying, with West Chester rentals averaging around $2,606 a month compared to about $3,100 for home ownership.
