  • HFHCC CEO Chris Wiseman delivered the annual update where he reviewed progress in home construction and partnerships — and outlined future affordable housing initiatives — encouraging local support.  VISTA Today
  • BVHVAC will host the Housing Partnership of Chester County’s Fixer Mixer on Feb. 10 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at its West Chester site to support safe and comfortable homes for local families. The event offers food, beverages, raffles and live trade demonstrations (with a snow date of Feb. 24).  VISTA Today

BUSINESS NEWS

  • West Chester-based Righteous Felon Craft Jerky has released its better-for-you beef and cheese combo stick this month at select regional Costco stores. The snack provides 14 grams of protein and one gram of sugar per serving and will soon expand into grocery, convenience, foodservice, and online retail channels.  VISTA Today

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Chester County Technical College High School will expand its barbering program to the Pennock's Bridge campus in West Grove for the 2026-27 school year and to the Pickering campus in Phoenixville for the 2027-28 school year. The program offers 1,250 hours of hands-on training, college credits, & preparation for state licensing.  MyChesCo

FINANCE NEWS

  • West Pharmaceutical Services will release its Q4 and full-year 2025 results before the market opens on Thursday, Feb. 12. The company will hold a conference call (scheduled for 8:00 a.m. ET) to discuss its results and provide access to a slide presentation and webcast replay on its website.  WFMZ-TV

HEALTH NEWS

  • Inspections on Jan. 28 found several restaurants, grocery stores and cafés in Chester County had food safety violations. West Chester’s Aventura at Pembroke was cited for dirty equipment and unclean surfaces (including missing dishwasher labels) and must fix issues before reopening.  MyChesCo

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • GREA arranged a $44.2 million senior construction loan for a new 162-unit senior housing development at 943 South High Street in West Chester, marking the area's first project in a decade & reflecting revived lender confidence.  MyChesCo
  • A developer seeks to expand its proposed data center on a Superfund site at 13 S. Bacton Hill Rd near Route 202 in East Whiteland with a 61% larger footprint; residents raised concerns over grid strain and health risks and officials will review the revised plan next month.  The Philadelphia Inquirer
