ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Stores in West Chester are running low on rock salt and shovels as a winter storm watch takes effect from Saturday night through Monday afternoon - locals are urged to secure necessary supplies and prepare for slippery roads.  WFMZ-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT held an online and in-person session in West Brandywine as part of its design for improvements to several interchanges on a 7.5-mile stretch of U.S. 30 in Chester County. Construction will not start before 2034 (the project is estimated at $874 million, mostly funded federally).  VISTA Today

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health inspectors uncovered food safety violations during inspections on Wed, Jan. 21 at eateries in West Chester and Downingtown. Issues ranged from improper food temperatures and unlabeled chemicals at Alessandro’s Pizzeria LLC to pesticide misuse at Brandywine Valley Bread, LLC and light pest activity at Fiorello’s Café.  MyChesCo
