- ➤ Kennett Square’s Mezzaluna Wood Fired Pizza ranked third in the nontraditional category at this year’s International Pizza Expo today, beating 109 finalists worldwide and placing first in the northeast division. - ➤ Kevin Lagowski, a Lincoln University resident, released his book Ghosts and Eerie Legends of Chester County that uncovers spooky local spots. The 112-page work details eerie tales from London Tract Church Cemetery (ticking tomb) to Devil’s Road, offering a fresh look at local haunted history. VISTA Today
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ PennDOT will resume base repair work on westbound U.S. 30 — from Route 340 to Airport Road — from Tuesday, Jan. 20 through Friday, Jan. 23, with an overnight lane closure from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. to improve the corridor’s safety and service life. MyChesCo
- ➤ Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced that over $1 billion was invested in PA 529 and PA ABLE during 2025, with PA 529 adding 32,349 accounts and PA ABLE nearly 3,000. PA ABLE eligibility now covers those with onset before age 46 (and fee cuts saved over $22 million). MyChesCo
