  • The Arc of Chester County is seeking a new CEO to lead its staff and volunteers as it supports individuals with disabilities in the community.   • TruMark Financial and the TruMark Financial Cares Foundation donated over $24K in November to five local food pantries—including West Chester Food Cupboard—to help families facing food insecurity ahead of the holiday season. BUSINESS NEWS

  • Venatorx Pharmaceuticals is winding down operations and will auction off lab equipment from its Malvern research facility (auction scheduled for October) as it closes its Spring Mill headquarters after a key licensing deal and over $200 million in funding.  VISTA Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Pennsylvania Treasury has alerted local residents to check its website for unclaimed funds from over $20M in property including old bank accounts, uncashed checks, and insurance payouts. Nearly $100K in checks will be mailed under the Money Match law.  FOX 29

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Wednesday, Chester County health inspectors found food safety issues at various kitchens, including West Chester’s 9 Prime at 9 North High Street — noted for biofilm buildup and improper food handling — and required immediate corrective actions such as food disposal and equipment adjustments.  MyChesCo

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • West Chester alums Connor Sensenig and Lauren Longhi married on Dec. 7 at Parkesburg's Beale Manor with about 90 guests attending. Both teachers celebrated with festive holiday décor and family traditions during a close-knit ceremony.  VISTA Today

  • Chester County will see four major projects in 2026 as the West Goshen Hotel in West Goshen Township begins construction in spring, Kennett Square’s Willowdale event venue opens in fall, and PennDOT relocates Downingtown Station with demolition starting this December (or January) while Exton Square Mall redevelopment faces legal delays.  VISTA Today
